Artist's Comments

Saw this bug one day, thought to myself... I've never seen a bug like that before, or at least never noticed one. So, I took it's picture..

The closest anyone has come to naming the type/species is that it might be some variety of assassin bug at a certain stage of it's life. It does appear to have some type of tiny wings sprouting from it's back..

Sweet! :) I love the pose!

The tiny "sprouts" on its thorax are called wing stubs, and they indicate that this is an immature insect. Based on the shape and thickness of the proboscis, it's probably phytophagous, possibly belonging tho the family Coreidae. It's a little hard to tell anything else. :P
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoy my bugs because you're the biggest bug photographer I know, and your comments mean alot!
